Double serve at church today. I made the series graphic and am running slides today.
Sunday, our church had each of us write the important things of our lives on a glass ornament. Then we could walk up and smash it in a green coffin to show that we are willing to give up our lives for Jesus. “Whoever wants to be my disciple must take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.” —Jesus. (Mark 8:34-35)
Our church was to host a giant party to celebrate the launch of our new location—live band, bounce houses, games, fun. Threatening storms and lightning though made us postpone.
It’s snowing at Crosspoint! Our church celebrated our first Christmas Eve services this year.
I am humbled that God would humble himself to be born in the most lowly of places–a feed trough. And he did this to provide us a way out from the penalty of all the wrong we do. Today is only the beginning of the story!
Our entire church is going through a journey together. We have each received a journal and are spending time in prayer every day as we seek God for our future as a church. We are pursuing what it will take to be a blessing to our neighborhoods, town and city. It is an exciting process and it is so neat to see glimpses of how God is at work in different peoples lives, as well as our own, as we go through this journey together.
