There has been this ugly leather coat hanging on the coat rack for years and years. Rather than sending it to goodwill, I said, I’ll take it home! I turned it into a lovely messenger bag. I used a pattern from The Bag Making Bible. I love the turquoise chevron interior and the brass hardware—feet, adjustable strap and clip. Sewing with leather is a pain, but I hope it will last a long time.
