After living in Indianapolis for 9 years, we finally made it to The Vogue, a small club with concerts and dancing. We saw one of John’s new favorite bands, The Hold Steady.
After spending the day working at the Westin downtown, I saw these couches and thought it would make a fun place for a selfie. Then this couple showed up right as I was setting up the camera. So I went ahead and took two pictures anyways. :) The lady at first was going to get up and leave when she realized what I was doing, but I complimented her and invited them to stay. They were all dressed up for dinner and looked great. Made for a fun photo interaction too.
Step 1: Wash your strawberries. I wash mine in water and white vinegar. Vinegar kills bacteria and cleans the strawberries well.
Step 2: De-stem and chop your strawberries. Then mash with a potato masher.
You need 2 cups of strawberries and juice.
Step 3: Add in 4 cups of sugar and stir. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
Step 4: Bring 3/4 cup of water and one package of Sure-Jell to a boil. Boil for 1 minute. Then add to the fruit and sugar mixture.
Step 5: Stir fruit for 3 minutes.
Step 6: Pour jam into jars that have been sterilized in the dishwasher.
Step 6: Add lids and let sit for 24 hours before storing in the freezer.
