Tonight, Campus Crusade for Christ leadership announced that it would be transitioning into a new name, Cru, in 2012. This is an exciting change that allows our ministry to continue to connect people with the gospel, perhaps in a better way that we could before.
As a designer, it was exciting to see the new logo and hear about the branding–not that we are changing our mission, but that how we communicate who we are can be more effective.
Even by looking at the two photos, you can see how much more up-to-date the new logo looks and feels. Suddenly, the words of our name don’t hold us back. The potential for conversation about who we are and what we want to talk about–Jesus–is more open and free. I am excited about the change and what God will do through this to connect more people to himself.
What do you think? How do you like or dislike the new logo?
