Indy CC, day 4

During the morning of the last day, students were challenged to consider to give their lives back to God: to allow him to take them where he wished. As a symbol of that commitment, they placed their shoes in front of the stage with the pledge card inside.
The pledge reads:
“In light of who God is, and what he has done for me
No matter what others say, or what else opposes me
No matter what pattern I am being told to follow
I will walk in the way His word tells me
Step away from whatever He chooses
Walk wherever He leads.
This is my pledge.”

Wait, who is that on stage? It’s me! It’s me! HA! (John took this picture. Camera props to him! THANK YOU!) It was a great highlight for me and my team to have literally just 5 minutes in front of all the students. We got to share how God uses each of us in our gifts and talents to reach students for Christ. Our hope too is that we will see more want to join with us.

It can’t be new year’s eve without a massive party! A ’90s theme dance, blow-up games, and open-mic night are such great fun. The party ends at 11:20 and together we pray for the world, nation, friends, family and campuses in light of the new year.
Indy CC, day 3

amazing worship.
Indy CC, day 2

Not only are there main session with big speakers and worship time, we also do seminars teaching students how to share their faith, study the Bible, or be more Christ-like men and women.

Main speaker, Randy Singer. Author, lawyer, pastor and more!

Right off the bat, Randy was challenging students to lay aside their sin and to follow Christ more deeply–allow him to impact their lives.
Indy Christmas Conference, Day 1

For the next few days, John and I will be working at the annual Indianapolis Christmas Conference. The conference is a culmination of a lot of my work throughout the year. From the stage concept, to the helping Crossroads Summer Project creating the brochures, to designing the nametags and program, everything you see here is just a big part of my day to day. 1850 college students from Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois attend every year. During the conference, I still have a job, but it is a fun one–being the conference photographer. That job fits right in with my blog here. See more photos at the indycc.org website.
Rejoice!

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. (Luke 2:1-7)
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
I wish to everyone out there a wonderful Christmas. May God bless you and give you peace. Know that Christ can relate to all of us and us to him.
