Me & Ryan

Ryan and I are laughing at my new camera tripod. It is a gorillapod and has legs that can wrap around everything. So here we are laughing at it wrapped around a lamp post. Really though, we spent some time catching up on plans at work for the summer. I would love to show you a picture of the camera and ‘pod working together, but I only have one digital camera! Too bad. Maybe one day… needless to say it is great though. Now I have to buy a remote so I don’t have to keep getting up and clicking the shutter button all the time.
Day with the Lord

A great benefit of working in ministry full time is getting to take a day alone with the Lord once a month. Both John and I took ours today. I spent some time catching up on my Bible study of Exodus and praying.
Doug and the Bill

Doug is one of my co-workers, whose primary job is conference director. He helps to coordinate about 13 conferences throughout the year for our ministry. It is a huge job! We all have fun with it though. When the hotel bills come, we all play, guess the hotel bill’s total. This bill is for the Marriott hotel and all the rooms we used during the Christmas Conference. Yes, that is 2 huge binders on his lap. Anyone care to play with us? Doug usually gives a coke to the winner. I can’t really do that for you all. But you can have the satisfaction of playing along. :)
Happy Birthday, Solomon!

Solomon turned 5 this weekend! It is hard to believe it has been five years since our neighbors brought him home. John and I were his first visitors that evening. We got him some “moon sand” for his birthday. It is kinda like playdoh and sand mixed together. He spent about an hour totally focused on the sand and having a great time!

Here is his sister Olivia. I can’t post a picture of Solomon without including one of Olivia!
By the way, John took both of these pictures. I thought they were better than most of the ones I took, so I am posting them for all to see his talent! :)
Games

John and I visited with our friend Glen tonight and learned a new game, Notre Dame. It was a lot of fun to learn and to play. One neat thing about it is the board expands based on the number of people you have playing.

John, as usual, won both games, but just barely!
